Local Fire Districts Hot on the Trail of Fires

The whole weekend was full of fires in the Burns area. Laramie County Fire District #6 started putting out fires on Friday and ended on Sunday.

At 3:20 p.m., Friday, January 17 an explosion was heard in town of Burns. People were able to see the fire as far as Interstate 80. It was on Washington and Second street. The house on the South side of the Lutheran church was on fire.

Once the flames were contained then all the smoke was next. The smoke was so bad that the Laramie County Sheriffs Department was knocking on doors asking the people evacuate to Burns town hall. Residents had to be 1000 y...
